Inspeck’s innovative solutions enable efficient productions of high quality 3D models when digitizing the human body. Clothes or even free from objects. The 3D Full Body and 3D Half Body systems comes in a complete range of configurations and with their sturdy design and high quality components, they quickly became InSpeck’s best selling products. Because the FB and HB have been specifically designed to digitize human bodies, they are ideal solution for game development, medical research animation and cinematic special effects. In a very short acquisition time, which Depending on the configuration used (see Tech Specs) the full Body and Half Body Systems Capture a subject’s 3D coordinates and color texture. The man difference between both systems is while the 3D Full Body digitizing a full human body in one (1) step, the 3D Half Body will do it in Two(2)
Available ConfiIgurations
The Full Body & Half Body systems are totally scalable and flexible to the users needs. It is available in a 1, 2 or 3-position configuration. Here are the difference between both systems.
3D Full Body
Each position is composed of two (2) digitizers mounted on a sturdy metal post, to cover an entire human body from head to feet.
- One position [1P]: This is a perfect solution for projects where a single view of the entire subjects is needed.
- Two position [2P]: The two-position configuration is useful in cases where the front and back views are the crucial areas to be captured. The small gap between the front view and the back view will be closed in by EM’s advanced interpolation (geometry and texture) tool.
- Three position [3P]: this is InSpeck’s high-end configuration. This complete solution covers 360of a human body. As it is the case with the two-position configuration, a single shot is needed to capture the data and it is not necessary to have overlap between the different camera views because of the calibration process that is done before digitizing. Users will also save valuable modeling time due to the fact that there is no registration / alignment necessary because the calibration. Note: Calibration only needs to be done when the configuration setup is changed.
3D Half Body
Each position is composed of done digitizer mounted on a Sturdy metal post, to cover half a human body.
- One position [1P]: This is a perfect solutions for projects where a single view of half the subjects is needed.
- Two position [2P]: The half Body [2P] is the perfect entry-level solution. It can be used as the most inexpensive and portable today. It also has the fastest capture time, which can be as short as one (1) second.
- Three Positions [3P]: This solutions covers 360 of half a human body. As for the Half Body [2P], only two acquisitions are needed to capture data of the entire subjects and then, the rest of the work is done in EM. Users will save time due to the fact that there is no registration/alignment necessary to merge the front and the back, because of the calibration, note: calibration only needs to be done when the configuration setup is changed the Inspeck EM can be used to easily merge the top and the bottom parts together when creating a full body model.
Standard and mega options
The Full Body systems main component is in InSpeck’s 3D Capture II digitizer (with large field option). As this digitizer is available in two resolutions (standard and mega) options, so are the full Body and Half Body systems. Our basic systems come with the standard camera option. Depending on the camera option and configuration you choose, your systems will capture a certain number of sampled points. Each sampled point includes geometry and color texture information.

Systems Features
- Safety: InSpeck technology uses white halogen light in all its digitizers, which makes them completely safe for humans.
- Enhanced geometry and texture: with the mega line of digitizers, InSpeck is able to offer 3D digitizers with megapixel capabilities. The 3D Mega Capture II is the first digitizer on the market that can acquire over 1.3 million sampled points at each acquisition.
- Easy assembly: armed with only a screwdriver and few Allen Keys, assemble the systems in just a few minutes.
- Portability: Each digitizer can be easily had carried in an optional carrying case.
- Scalability: If your budget is restricted at the initial purchase, you can always start with a smaller configuration and add ot her positions at a later date when new budget is available.
- Laptop Compatibility: All InSpeck products are now Firewire compatible, which means faster data transfer time and laptop compatibility.
Other InSpeck systems can be used to capture other parts of the body with higher resolutions and all the pieces can easily be assembled (stitched) in our EM software.
